Reading elects 2015-2016 Governing Body

Amidst the excitement of their 75th anniversary celebrations, Reading Country Club recently elected its 2015/2016 Governing Body who is now set to take this club to even greater heights.

President elect Tony Lovesay, thanked the various committees, from the original founders to now, who have fought hard to ensure that members and visitors to the club can enjoy access to one of the most “delightful facilities within our region”.

“A recent Compleat Golfer article, which highlighted Reading Country Club, as the course of the month, suggests that we could boast one of the most finely-conditioned layouts in the country and we are proud to have had our greenkeeper, Sean Byrne, voted as Ekhuruleni Greenkeeper of the Year for the last year,” Tony says.

Tony continued to thank the Reading staff, headed up by the energetic and enthusiastic general manager, David Smith, for their committment to maintaining the ongoing improvement in service delivery. “As a team we strive to grow the support of members and guests alike to ensure the long term viability of this wonderful club,” he concluded.
