Reading hosts its first Nite Trail Run!
Firstly just a word of thanks to everyone that supported our club party last Friday. The “Battle of the DJ’s” idea worked like a bomb, with Delville Reynolds Junior receiving the best response for his choice in my opinion. The choices from everyone were fantastic and we had such fun! We will definitely do this again!
Well done to the Handicap League guys who won again on Saturday! Good luck to our Senior League guys who play again on Saturday and are at the top of the table! Make us proud guys.
Our first Nite Trail Run is at 19h00 at the club on Friday. There is a 5km and 10km and you can walk if you like! Don’t miss this! More details here.
Wee Shuggies are back for their annual golf day today and next week we welcome the Sages on Monday and Tuesday for the Annual National Tournament – quite an honour for Reading! St. Paul’s Methodist Church have their golf day next Friday and Donovan and Barry have arranged another of those fun-filled Par 3 challenges for next Thursday, the 15th September. Space is limited to 40 players and a boerie roll and beer are included in the price so book now!
The course is looking good as spring starts in earnest. Sean and his team will begin scarifying the fairways lightly in the next week or two and once the first rains come around, the course will spring into life.
Dates to remember include 1 October for our annual Oktoberfest and the 8th October is Hobo Day!
Have a fantastic week. See you all at the club.
